Elisabeth Printschitz Library at Grazer Kunsteverein.

Elisabeth Printschitz (1952–1993) was artistic director of the Grazer Kunstverein from 1987–1993. A large selection of her personal library was bequeathed to the Grazer Kunstverein. The library contains (rare) philosophical and theoretical books as well as first edition novels and poetry. I was impressed by a striking similarity of Elisabeth Printschitz' library with my own personal collection of publications.

Being touched by this unique encounter with Elisabeth's collection, I proposed to create a gentle nest for the library in the form of a versatile bed as a housing structure to contain the books. The furniture became a permanent part of the library and can function in both horizontal as well as vertical position, offering either a bed or a kiosk for the books.
